The RS-70 module combines an inverter with integrated slew limiter and also a pre-amp.
The Inverter should be described as a polarizer, to be exact, as the input signal can be blended from negative to positive with a level control. In minimum position of the knob the inverter creates an inverted signal with 10 times the amplitude of the input signal. In middle position the signal level is at zero. In maximum position you?ll get the positive signal with 10 times the amplitude of the input signal. Besides that you?ll find a slew limiter that smoothens the signal?s edges. Its speed is controlable from 0.1mS to 1S. The circuitry accepts signals with an amplitude of /-10V and 20kHz frequency, though only frequencies up to 10khz can be output. there are two output jacks.
The pre-amplifier has two signal inputs: one for signals with low impedance and one for signals with high impedance. The gain control ranges from approximately -2dB in its fully anticlockwise position to 21dB in its fully clockwise position, depending upon the input used. Input signals with a level of /-10V will be processed without problems, above those ranges clipping will occur and thus the module will distort which can be a desired effect. The output signal is present at two jacks. All modules by Analogue Systems come ready to use with five years warranty mounted in the by the customer preferred rack or cabinet.
