The Looptrotter SATUR-8 EX is the eight-channel unit with a saturation circuit.
SATUR-8 EX was designed with a thought of increasing the number of channels with saturation in SATUR-8/24. However it might also be connected to the INSERT socket in your analog mixer or other favorite summing unit.
It can also be used in the recording process between preamplifiers and ADC. The design refers to the sound of old tube mixing consoles and tape recorders.
"In short, then, I’ve tried a few different summing devices. This one may not exactly be cheap but it’s far more versatile than most, given the control you have over the amount of saturation applied to different sources and to the overall mix. If you think of it as an eight-channel processor, with summing and master bus inserts and the magic control thrown in for good measure, it looks more reasonably priced!"
